Poetry To Go With A Cloudy Day

My deepest need is...

Peace is.

Swimming with needs of others.
A silent place,
with this bitter-sweet
coffee, taking it one cup at a time.
Sandstorm brewing upward.
My sweet love that once was,
tap water which is licked up.
a stubborn rock,
warming flicker of candles.

I'd be trapped in to hopping
Love ends in peace.
You said not to run away.
From my blanked cave.
Dancing in the rain,
engulfing San Francis's hottest day.
The shortest experience
causing the most.

As much as I wish I could take credit for this, it is written by Lee Cunningham. I found it hidden in a book of poems at an old bookstore and fell in love. Read it a few times and tell me what you think!
